Job Title: Manufacturing Team Member

Department: Building Systems UK

Location: Shotton (CH5)

Starting Salary: £28,274 + shift allowance

Closing Date: Sunday 21 st August 2026

What you will do

Building Systems UK is based at Shotton – a leading facility manufacturing high-performance steel products for the construction industry. We supply roll-formed products, composite panels, and fabricated solutions used in building envelopes across the UK and beyond.

As a Manufacturing Team Member, you’ll play an essential role in delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality production. This is a hands-on operational role in a fast-paced environment where every team member contributes to customer satisfaction, quality standards, and operational excellence.

Your responsibilities will include:

Operating machinery and material handling equipment to high safety and workmanship standards
Recognising product ranges and selecting materials for processing
Supporting routine maintenance and equipment checks to maximise uptime
Actively participating in team-based problem solving and continuous improvement
Handling and storing materials according to customer and site requirements
Maintaining accurate stock records and contributing to site organisation
Following Tata Steel’s health, safety, environmental and quality procedures
Sharing knowledge and skills with colleagues to support team performance

This is a highly collaborative role in a manufacturing environment that values adaptability, engagement, and a drive to improve.

What you will need

We’re looking for individuals who take pride in their work, enjoy working as part of a team, and want to contribute to the success of a site that plays a vital role in UK construction.

Ideally, you will have:

Manufacturing experience (preferred but not essential – full training provided)
A positive, flexible and safety-conscious attitude
Strong communication and teamworking skills
Good numeracy, literacy and basic IT capability
Mechanical aptitude and spatial awareness
The ability to work safely under pressure and meet tight deadlines
