Job Title: Part-Time Pharmacy Counter Assistant (Permanent role)
Location: Well Street Pharmacy

We’re seeking a warm, reliable, and enthusiastic Pharmacy Counter Assistant to be the welcoming face of our community pharmacy. If you’re passionate about customer care and eager to make a difference in people’s health and wellbeing, we’d love to hear from you.

About the Role

As a Pharmacy Counter Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in the daily operations of the pharmacy. You’ll assist customers with their healthcare needs and ensure they receive outstanding service and support.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Assisting customers at the counter and processing transactions
Offering advice on over-the-counter medicines and general health concerns
Managing stock, organising shelves, and checking product expiry dates
Supporting the pharmacy team with general duties
Keeping the pharmacy clean, safe, and welcoming
Participating in relevant training and development

Work Schedule

Alternating two week rota (Fixed hours)
Week 1 Tues 0900-1730, Wed 0900-1800, Thurs 0900-1800/ Week 2 Tues 0900-1730, Wed 0900-1730, Saturday 0900-1300.
Hours are set at an average of 22.25 hours per week.
Additional hours available to cover holidays and staff absences

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

Experience in retail or another customer-facing role
A flexible approach to working hours and rota requirements
Friendly, team-oriented attitude and a proactive mindset
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Willingness to complete accredited pharmacy training

Desirable:

Previous experience in a pharmacy or related field
Completion of NPA Interact Course or equivalent
Ability to speak Welsh
