We are seeking a proactive Residential Safety Coordinator to join our Asset Management Directorate. Working within our Building Safety Team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that East End Homes meets its statutory obligations under the Building Safety Act 2022 and the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order.
This is a resident-facing role where you will act as the named point of contact for occupants of our High-Rise Buildings (HRBs). You will be responsible for coordinating resident safety consultations, managing bespoke engagement strategies, and maintaining rigorous compliance records using our "Risk Flag" and management systems. From assisting with building safety cases to responding to fire safety enquiries, you will bridge the gap between technical compliance and community reassurance, ensuring our residents feel safe and informed in their homes.
The ideal candidate will be a highly organised communicator who balances technical accuracy with an empathetic approach to resident relations. We are looking for:
- A Skilled Coordinator: You have a proven ability to manage multiple workloads, meet strict deadlines, and use your initiative to solve problems.
- Data Savvy: You are proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experienced in updating and analysing databases to maintain accurate compliance trackers.
- Legally Aware: You possess a basic knowledge of fire safety legislation and an understanding of data protection (GDPR) and risk assessment processes.
- Resident-Focused: You have a natural ability to communicate complex safety information clearly and empathetically to a diverse range of residents.
- Collaborative: You enjoy working across various departments—including Repairs, Estates, and Housing—to ensure a unified approach to health and safety.
- Qualified (Desirable): While not essential, a NEBOSH Fire or Health & Safety qualification and experience within social housing will be highly regarded.
