Location: Warrington, WA3 7PB
Salary: £38,400 - £42,000 plus excellent benefits
Schedule: Hybrid – 3 days in the office (Birchwood, Warrington), Monday to Friday

As a Fleet Manager in our Transport and Community Services team, you’ll take ownership of the day-to-day management and performance of a diverse vehicle fleet supporting both the AASC contract and the Electronic Monitoring Serco contract. You’ll ensure vehicles are safe, compliant and available, working closely with operational teams, suppliers and stakeholders to keep services running efficiently.
You’ll play a key role in managing driver behaviour, maintenance programmes, monitoring performance and costs, and ensuring full compliance with transport regulations. By using fleet data and working collaboratively across the contract, you’ll identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce downtime and drive value for money. Your work will directly support frontline operations, helping to deliver reliable services that make a positive impact on communities.
What you’ll do as a Fleet Manager
You’ll be entrusted to:

Manage vehicle requirements across the contract, ensuring fleet availability meets operational needs

Oversee maintenance, servicing and repairs in line with manufacturer guidelines and legislative requirements

Monitor fleet costs, fuel usage and performance to improve efficiency and control budgets

Work closely with suppliers and third-party providers to manage defects, breakdowns and servicing within agreed timeframes

Ensure compliance with transport regulations, including driver licence checks, training records and audit requirements

Analyse fleet data, telematics and utilisation to drive continuous improvement and reduce total cost of ownership

Use telemetry to direct better outcomes for driver education, reducing financial impact of fuel, damage and maintenance
Does this sound like you?
You’ll be a great fit for this role if you have:

Proven experience in fleet management within a transport or operational environment

Strong understanding of UK and EU road transport legislation, including MoT and Construction and Use regulations

Experience managing vehicle maintenance, compliance and supplier relationships

Confidence analysing data and using fleet systems to improve performance and reduce costs

A recognised qualification in fleet management or equivalent practical experience of at least 24 months
Vetting and checks:
As well as checking eligibility to work in the UK, you will also complete an Occupational Health Questionnaire to help us identify and provide any support you may need to undertake the role effectively.
