Full job description

JOB TITLE:

Bookkeeper

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

Prepare double entry bookkeeping using cloud-based software.

WHO THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE TO:

Director – Andrew Long

Overview:
· Preparing double-entry bookkeeping to include the below.

· Recording financial transactions using cloud-based accounting software such as XERO, QuickBooks & SAGE

· Bank reconciliations, reports & obtaining bank statements

· Maintaining company sales and purchase ledgers

· Prepayments and Accruals

· Opening balance adjustments

· Run Depreciation

· Maintain Fixed Asset Register as advised by Senior Accountant

· Posting of Wages and Salaries Journals

· Monthly/Quarterly Profit & Loss & Balance sheet checks as advised by Senior Accountant

· Reporting to management

· Filing CIS Returns

· Handling client enquires in professional and timely manner to include referring to more senior team members as appropriate.

· Providing administrative & clerical support as needed

· Additional bookkeeping as designated by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

AAT Level 4 qualified (preferred)

Previous bookkeeping experience within an accountancy practice

Good working knowledge of Xero, QuickBooks and Sage

Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills

Ability to manage your workload and work independently

Pay: From £30,000.00 per year
