Job Overview

HOURS: Mon-Fri 7:30am - 4pm

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Ground Work/Demolition Labourer to join our team. This role involves assisting with various site activities, supporting a range of surfacing, groundwork and external projects, and ensuring the smooth operation of daily tasks. The ideal candidate will be physically fit, eager to learn, and committed to maintaining a safe working environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the construction or civil engineering sectors. All roles are paid, including internships, and require a proactive approach to work.

Responsibilities

Assisting with site preparation, including clearing debris and organising materials
Supporting skilled tradespeople with basic tasks such as mixing materials or setting up equipment
Moving and transporting materials around the site using manual handling techniques or basic machinery
Ensuring the work area remains clean, safe, and organised at all times
Following health and safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents or injuries
Assisting with minor repairs or maintenance tasks as directed by supervisors
Supporting the installation of structures or infrastructure as required

Experience

Previous experience in construction, landscaping, or labouring roles is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks over extended periods
Basic understanding of health and safety procedures on construction sites
Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to various site requirements
Good organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
CSCS card is preferable but not essential

This role is suitable for motivated individuals seeking practical experience in a dynamic environment. A positive attitude, reliability, and a strong work ethic are essential qualities for success in this position.

Pay: Up to £20.00 per hour
