Experienced Vehicle Technician / Mechanic & MOT Tester

Thornliebank Motor Engineers is an established independent workshop and MOT testing station serving the Southside of Glasgow for over 30 years. We are looking for a fully qualified and experienced Vehicle Technician/Mechanic and/or MOT Tester to join our friendly and professional team.

Immediate start available for the right candidate.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out:

MOT testing (where qualified)
Vehicle servicing and maintenance
Diagnostics and fault finding
Mechanical repairs on a wide range of vehicle makes and models
General workshop duties while maintaining high standards of workmanship and customer service

No unrealistic KPI targets & minimal paperwork allowing you to focus on the job.

Requirements

Fully qualified Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
MOT Tester qualification preferred but not essential
Previous experience working in a busy workshop environment
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Full UK driving licence preferred

Working Hours

Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
Friday: 8:00am – 4:30pm
Optional overtime available on Saturdays

Salary

Competitive rate of pay, negotiable depending on qualifications and experience.
