Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and welcoming Hotel Receptionist to join our front desk team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest services, managing reservations, and ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process. This role requires excellent communication skills, a friendly demeanour, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to assist our diverse clientele. The successful applicant will play a vital role in creating a positive first impression of our hotel and ensuring guests have a memorable stay.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in/check-out procedures
Manage reservations accurately via phone, email, or online booking systems
Provide information about hotel facilities, local attractions, and services to guests
Handle guest enquiries with professionalism and courtesy, maintaining high standards of phone etiquette
Resolve guest concerns promptly and efficiently to ensure satisfaction
Process payments and maintain accurate billing records
Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest rooms are prepared and maintained to standard
Maintain a tidy and organised reception area at all times
Assist with administrative duties such as filing, data entry, and correspondence as required

Experience

Previous experience in hotel reception or hospitality is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written; proficiency in multiple languages or bilingual abilities are advantageous
Knowledge of guest services principles and hospitality industry standards
Familiarity with reservation systems and office software such as MS Office is desirable
Excellent phone etiquette and organisational skills
Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
A friendly, professional attitude with a genuine desire to provide outstanding guest service
