Role Overview:

We are seeking a Deputy Manager to help oversee the daily operations of our self-storage facility. In this role, you will focus on delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring operational efficiency, and maintaining high standards of safety and cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities:

As Deputy Manager, you will assist in managing the daily operations of the facility, ensuring that it remains clean, secure, and well-maintained.

You will be responsible for providing outstanding customer service by addressing enquiries promptly, assisting with storage needs, and conducting facility tours to help customers find the best storage solutions. An important aspect of the role is implementing and monitoring security practices to protect customer belongings and ensure the safety of the facility.

In addition to operational tasks, you will support administrative functions by helping manage and oversee the leasing process. This includes handling rental agreements, renewals, and fee collections, maintaining accurate records, and taking ownership of store compliance by carrying out regular administrative checks to ensure the facility meets company standards and passes audits. You will identify areas for improvement and provide coaching and guidance to the team to drive consistent high performance.

Engaging with marketing activities and the local community is also part of your responsibilities, as you will support local initiatives and events to maintain positive relationships with customers and local businesses.

Qualifications:

We are looking for someone with a relevant background in sales and customer service, ideally in self-storage or a similar field. A proven track record of supporting business operations and enhancing customer experiences is important.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, as you will interact with customers and team members regularly. Strong organisational and multitasking abilities, attention to detail, and professionalism in handling customer enquiries and concerns are necessary. Flexibility in working hours, including weekends, is required to meet customer needs and attend local events.
