About Us
At The Lambing Shed, we’re passionate about serving fresh, locally sourced food in the heart of the Cheshire countryside. Based on our working farm, we take pride in creating dishes that showcase the very best of our region, with beef and lamb reared onsite and prepared through our own butchery.

As a family-run business, we’re entering an exciting phase of growth, with a restaurant expansion and brand-new kitchen opening later this year. We’re now looking for a talented Chef to join our team and be part of this next chapter.

The Role
You’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality, seasonal dishes using the best ingredients from our farm and trusted local suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and cook dishes using fresh, locally sourced ingredients
Support the creation of seasonal specials and menu development
Maintain excellent standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness
Work closely with the team to ensure smooth daily service
Assist with stock control and reducing food waste
Support the preparation of homemade farm shop produce, including pies and other items

What We’re Looking For

Previous experience as a chef or cook (farm shop, café, or restaurant preferred)
A genuine passion for fresh, seasonal food
A positive, hardworking, team-focused attitude
Ability to stay organised and work efficiently during busy periods
Flexible availability, including weekends
Food hygiene certification (or willingness to obtain)
