Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Roofer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems on residential and commercial properties. This role requires a strong understanding of various roofing materials and techniques, as well as the ability to work safely at heights. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in construction trades to develop their skills further within a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Install new roofing systems using a variety of materials including shingles, metal, and flat roofing membranes
Repair and replace damaged or worn roofing components to ensure durability and weather resistance
Conduct inspections of existing roofs to identify issues and recommend appropriate repairs or replacements
Prepare work sites by setting up scaffolding, ladders, and safety equipment
Measure and cut materials accurately using hand tools and power tools
Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and safely
Maintain a clean work environment by removing debris and securing tools and materials after each task
Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times during roofing operations

Experience

Proven experience in roofing or related construction trades such as carpentry, masonry, or plumbing is preferred
Knowledge of construction painting, welding, electrical work, or fabrication is advantageous but not essential
Familiarity with the use of hand tools and power tools required for roofing tasks
Experience working at heights and on scaffolding or ladders safely
Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, or specifications is beneficial
Previous experience with masonry or electrical systems can be an asset but is not mandatory
