Full job description

Office Junior – Full-Time

Location: Manchester

Job Type: Full time, Permanent – Subject to 6-month probationary period.

Salary: National Minimum Wage (age dependent in line with UK regulations)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm

About Us

We are a well-established and friendly Independant Financial Advice company looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Office Junior to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone starting their career who wants to gain valuable office experience in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

· Answering and directing phone calls

· Managing emails and correspondence

· Filing, scanning, archiving and document management

· Data entry and maintaining records

· Assisting colleagues with administrative tasks

Training & Development

We are committed to helping you build a strong foundation for your career. You will receive:

· Training from the ground up, to introduce you to our company, systems, and processes

· On-the-job training with experienced team members

· Regular one-to-one support and feedback sessions

· Opportunities to gain relevant qualifications (where appropriate)

· Clear career progression pathway into an administrative or specialist role. Prior office experience is not essential - just a willingness to learn.

Requirements

Key Skills

· GCSEs (or equivalent), including English and Maths

· Basic IT skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)

· Good organisational skills and attention to detail

· Ability to manage multiple tasks

Soft Skills

We’re looking for someone who brings the right attitude to the position, including:

· Strong communication skills – friendly, clear, and professional

· Positive attitude and eagerness to learn

· Reliability and punctuality

· Ability to work well in a team and support colleagues

· Good time management and ability to learn how to prioritise tasks

· Previous office or customer service experience
