Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: Dependent on experience

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday 7.30am – 4.30pm (1hrs lunch)

Reporting to: Trade Counter Manager

About the Role
Looking for a role where you can stay active, be part of a solid team, and build a long-term career?

We're on the lookout for a reliable, motivated, and confident Sales Assistant to join our growing, fast-paced team. If you enjoy hands-on work, building relationships with customers, and identifying sales opportunities, this could be the perfect fit.

As part of this varied role, you'll provide excellent customer service at the trade counter while also confidently making outbound calls to existing and prospective customers to generate sales, promote products, and strengthen customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Serving trade and retail customers, providing friendly and efficient service.
Handling incoming calls and processing orders accurately.
Making proactive outbound sales calls to existing and prospective customers to generate new business, follow up on quotations, promote products, and identify sales opportunities.
Building strong customer relationships through excellent communication and product knowledge.
Picking, loading, and organising stock in the warehouse.
Keeping the workspace clean, safe, and running smoothly.

This is a varied role where no two days are the same—you'll be part of the action and make a real difference to the team. The role involves standing for extended periods, lifting and moving stock, and working in a warehouse environment.

Requirements

Must be able to work on own initiative.
Someone who enjoys working with people and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service.
Reliable, punctual, and a team player.
Comfortable in a busy warehouse or trade environment.
Willing to learn and develop product knowledge.
Confident making outbound sales calls, identifying customer needs, and promoting products and services.
Confident communicator, both face-to-face and over the phone.
A proactive mindset, positive attitude, and the ability to build lasting customer relationships.

Desirable Requirements

Experience or interest in landscaping and horticulture.
Previous warehouse, trade counter, retail sales, or outbound sales experience.
