Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Grill Cook. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality grilled dishes and wood fired pizza in a fast-paced take away environment. The candidate will have a degree of autonomy over the business and self manage to achieve growth, menu development and the highest of standards

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of grilled dishes and pizza according to recipes and quality standards
Ensure all food is cooked safely and in compliance with food safety regulations
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the grill station and surrounding areas
Assist with meal preparation, including marinating, seasoning, and portioning ingredients
Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure optimal results
Serve dishes promptly and professionally
Follow health and safety guidelines at all times to maintain a safe working environment
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods

Qualifications

Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a restaurant setting is preferred
Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
Strong understanding of meal preparation techniques, particularly grilling methods
Experience working in a fast-paced environment with excellent organisational skills
Ability to work efficiently both independently
Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards customer service
Culinary experience or relevant training is advantageous but not essential for entry-level applicants
