We are looking for a Digital Content & Marketing
Intern to join our team and work across the UK Retirement
Rentals Group and our Retirement Living UK platform.
This is an entry-level position, so we aren't looking for
someone with years of experience. We are looking for
someone who is bright, curious, creative, comfortable
with technology and willing to learn.
You will be involved in real marketing activity from the start.
What you'll be doing
One day you might be creating a new landing page on our
website for an advertising campaign. The next you could be
helping develop a Google or social media advert, editing a
video for YouTube, researching competitors or coming up
with ideas for a new marketing campaign.
One of the most important parts of the role is learning
about the people we are trying to reach.
Choosing retirement accommodation can be a significant
decision, and it is often something families work through
together.
A major audience for our marketing is therefore sons,
daughters and other family members helping a
parent or relative consider their retirement living
options.
That means research will be an important part of the role.
You'll be encouraged to investigate the sector, look at
competitors, understand customer concerns and turn what
you learn into better advertising and content.
Who we're looking for:
You don't need to arrive knowing everything.
You might be a recent graduate, college leaver or someone
looking to start a career in digital marketing and content.
What matters more is that you:
Enjoy creating things.
Are interested in websites and digital marketing.
Have good written English. Are comfortable learning new technology.
Have an interest in video and social media.
Can research a subject and make sense of what you
find.
Have good attention to detail.
Are organised and reliable.
Are prepared to contribute ideas.
Want to learn how real marketing campaigns are
developed and run.
If you've already experimented with Canva, video
editing, YouTube, websites, Google Ads, social media
advertising, photography or content creation, that's
useful – but it isn't essential.
Most importantly, we're looking at this as a potential route
into the business.
