Full job description

Job Title: Resident Liaison Officer (Cladding Remediation)Role Purpose:
To act as the primary link between the site project team, residents, and stakeholders during the remediation of external wall systems. The RLO ensures residents are informed, supported, and safe while minimising the disruption caused by high-impact works such as scaffold installation and cladding removal.

Key Responsibilities:

Resident Communication: Deliver clear, timely updates regarding project schedules, access requirements, and potential disruptions (e.g., noise, dust, loss of light).
Engagement Strategy: Implement the project’s Resident Engagement Strategy as required by current building safety regulations for high-rise buildings.
Access Coordination: Arrange and manage property access for surveys, inspections, and contractor works, ensuring residents provide necessary permissions.
Vulnerability Support: Identify and profile vulnerable residents to create individual action plans, ensuring their specific welfare needs are met during the works.
Dispute Resolution: Handle resident queries and complaints promptly, escalating complex issues to the Project Manager and maintaining a detailed log of resolutions.
Site Safety Liaison: Educate residents on site-specific safety rules and act as a conduit for safety concerns between occupants and the Principal Contractor.
Reporting: Maintain accurate digital records of all interactions, resident feedback, and satisfaction surveys to support compliance audits and Building Safety Fund reporting.

Required Skills & Experience:

Proven RLO Experience: Minimum 1–2 years in a resident liaison or customer-facing role within the construction or social housing sectors.
Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of cladding systems, fire safety measures, and the Building Safety Act 2022.
Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain technical construction terms to non-technical residents.
Diplomacy: Experience managing conflict and remaining professional in high-pressure or sensitive situations.
IT Literacy: Proficient in Microsoft Office and digital case management systems for logging resident data.

Desirable Qualifications:

CSCS Card: Required for regular access to live construction sites.
Safeguarding Training: Level 2 or equivalent in safeguarding vulnerable adults.

Pay: £25,000.00-£45,000.00 per year

Work Location: Hybrid remote in London
