Store Manager – Burger Boi

Location: Wood Green, London

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

About Burger Boi

Burger Boi is an exciting and growing burger brand focused on delivering high-quality food, outstanding customer service, and a great team culture. We are looking for an experienced and motivated Store Manager to lead our team and oversee the day-to-day operations of our restaurant.

The Role

As Store Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the restaurant, maintaining excellent customer service standards, managing staff performance, and driving sales while maintaining food quality and operational excellence.

This role offers an exciting opportunity for a proactive leader with strong organisational and communication skills to contribute to the growth and success of Burger Boi. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in building a high-performing team, maintaining operational standards, and ensuring an exceptional guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage the daily operations of the restaurant, including opening and closing procedures

* Lead, motivate, coach, and develop a team to deliver outstanding customer service

* Recruit, train, onboard, and retain team members

* Prepare staff rotas and effectively manage labour costs

* Supervise employee performance and ensure high standards are maintained

* Create a positive team culture and maintain high levels of staff engagement

* Ensure exceptional food quality, presentation, and service standards at all times

* Handle customer enquiries and resolve complaints professionally and efficiently

* Monitor stock levels, manage inventory, and place orders with suppliers

* Minimise waste and maintain strong cost controls

* Analyse sales performance and identify opportunities to improve revenue and profitability

* Drive sales and help achieve restaurant targets and KPIs

* Handle cash management, banking procedures, and end-of-day reporting

* Maintain accurate operational and administrative records

* Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, health & safety, and company procedures

* Conduct regular checks to ensure the restaurant remains clean, organised, and operating to brand standards

* Support marketing initiatives, local promotions, and community engagement activities

* Play a key role in the successful growth and development of the Burger Boi brand

Requirements

Essential

* Management experience within a restaurant, takeaway, fast food, hospitality, catering, or food service environment

* Proven experience leading and managing teams

* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, develop, and inspire staff

* Excellent communication and customer service skills

* Experience managing staff rotas, labour costs, stock control, and daily operations

* Experience recruiting, training, and developing team members

* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

* Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment

* Good understanding of food hygiene, health & safety, and compliance requirements

* Experience with cash handling, banking procedures, and reporting

* Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays

Preferred

* Experience opening or managing a new restaurant or store

* Level 2 Food Safety & Hygiene Certificate (or higher)

* Experience working with EPOS systems and hospitality management software

* Knowledge of food cost management and labour cost control
