NORD is a independent Coffee House, Bar & Kitchen in Knaresborough.

NORD serves artisan coffee and homemade traditional pastries and cakes. Serving homemade brunch and lunch options, using fresh locally sourced produce.

Job Summary
We are seeking a enthusiastic and dedicated Barista/Front of House Staff to join our team working approx 8-24 hours per week to work over the summer until September.

Responsibilities

Great and seat customers in a warm, welcoming manner.
Present menus, explain daily specials, and answer questions about dishes, ingredients and allergens.
Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system.
Serve food and drinks efficiently, ensuring presentation meets house standards.
Check back with customers to ensure satisfaction and handle any complaints promptly and professionally.
Process bills and handle cash/card transactions.
Clear and reset tables quickly and maintain a clean, organised dining area,
Follow health, safety and hygiene standards at all times.
Support colleagues and work as part of a team to deliver smooth service.
Ensure bar area is clean, tidy and presentable.
Ensure all communal areas such as toilets and stair ways are clean, stocked and presentable at all times.

Skills

Previous hospitality or barista experience
Friendly, approachable and great with people
Good communication and listening skills
Able to work well in a small team and help out where needed
Comfortable working in a busy environment and staying organised

Additional Information

Weekend availability required
Pay dependent on experience
