Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and personable Part-Time Hair Stylist / Hairdresser to join our vibrant salon team in Acton, London. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about hairdressing and beauty services to deliver exceptional client experiences. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing professional hair styling, colouring, and grooming services, while also engaging with clients to ensure their needs are met with personalised care. A strong focus on customer service, communication skills, and versatility in beauty treatments will be essential to thrive in this position.

Responsibilities

Deliver a range of hairdressing services including cutting, colouring, styling, and finishing to clients’ specifications.
Provide specialised treatments such as eyelash extensions and makeup application to enhance client satisfaction.
Offer expert advice on hair care products and styling options, upselling where appropriate to maximise client benefits.
Maintain a welcoming and professional front desk presence, managing appointments and client queries efficiently.
Assist with store management tasks as needed, ensuring the salon remains clean, organised, and well-stocked.
Mentor junior team members or apprentices when required, fostering a collaborative environment.
Build strong relationships with clients through excellent customer service and personalised consultations.
Stay updated on the latest trends and techniques in hairdressing and beauty treatments.

Qualifications

Proven experience in hairdressing or barbering within a salon environment. 5 years experience.
Strong communication skills with the ability to connect effectively with clients of diverse backgrounds.
Knowledge of store management procedures and front desk operations is advantageous.
Skills in mentoring junior staff or apprentices are desirable.
Additional expertise in eyelash extensions and makeup application is preferred but not essential.
Ability to upsell products and services confidently while maintaining a professional demeanour.
A friendly attitude combined with organisational skills to manage appointments efficiently. This role is ideal for motivated individuals seeking part-time work within a dynamic salon environment where creativity and customer satisfaction are valued above all else.
