Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and reliable Class 2 Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting steel across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining the highest standards of vehicle safety and compliance.

Responsibilities

Operate flatbed lorries and other commercial vehicles in accordance with road safety regulations and company policies.
Plan and follow efficient routes to ensure timely delivery of goods.
Load and unload cargo safely, ensuring proper securing of loads to prevent damage during transit.
Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after journeys, reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in compliance with legal requirements.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules or any unforeseen delays.
Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including driving hours and load limits, to ensure safety on the road.

Requirements

Valid driving licence suitable for commercial driving, with a clean driving record.
Proven experience as a delivery driver or similar role, preferably with flatbed or specialised vehicle experience.
Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for commercial vehicle operation.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan routes efficiently.
Ability to handle physically demanding tasks such as loading and unloading cargo safely.
Good communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members.
Flexibility to work various shifts as required, including early mornings or late evenings if necessary. This position offers a dynamic work environment where professionalism, safety, and punctuality are highly valued. Pay: £14.00-£16.00 per hour
