Full job description

Boundary Park is seeking enthusiastic and personable Casual Bar Staff to join our fun and dynamic team. As a busy sports and community hub, we welcome hundreds of visitors each week through our bar and facilities, supporting rugby, football, cricket, and a wide range of other sports clubs and community organisations.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a busy environment. This role offers flexible hours and an opportunity to gain valuable experience within a thriving community venue. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers, creating a welcoming atmosphere, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and professionalism.

Responsibilities

Serve drinks and snacks to customers in a friendly and professional manner
Take orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring prompt service
Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including organising stock and equipment
Check identification to verify legal drinking age
Handle cash and process card payments accurately using point-of-sale systems
Assist with setting up and closing down the bar at the start and end of shifts
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health & safety standards
Provide excellent customer service, addressing queries and concerns promptly
Support team members during busy periods, events, and match days
Help maintain a welcoming environment for all members of the Boundary Park community

Experience

Previous experience in hospitality, customer service, retail, or bar work is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided
Knowledge of food safety standards is advantageous
Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and payments
Strong time management and organisational skills
Experience working in a fast-paced environment is desirable
Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and event days as required
A friendly, reliable, and proactive attitude
