Job description:

PART TIME MAINTENANCE PERSON REQUIRED FOR CARE HOME

Rate of pay: £14.42weekday - £14.92 Per Hour weekend

PartTime: 3 days in Week including alternative Weekends

Time : 9.00am - 5.00pm

Location: Haslemere

We are looking to recruit a Part-time Maintenance Person for our care home in Haslemere, Surrey.

You will take responsibility for the maintenance of the building and equipment, keeping it in a good state of repair; maintain/or arrange for statutory checks and P.A.T. testing as per the regulatory requirements, in line with the current legislation and following Health & Safety, Security and Fire Safety Guidelines.

Occasional evening and weekend work may be required depending on the home’s requirements, and you will be on-call for emergencies.

Your main duties will include:

Fire alarm testing and recording.
Call bell unit checks and recording.
Fire extinguisher checks.
Painting and decorating where required.
Read maintenance book each day on arrival and carry out urgent jobs immediately.
To undertake repairs if within your competency otherwise arrange for these through the Company’s Estate Manager
Report accidents, injuries, dangerous occurrences, near misses, hazards and risks to your manager/person-in-charge whose responsibility it is to act upon such information to reduce the risk of accidents/incidents.
To ensure adherence to Health and Safety guidelines and maintain safe environments and working practices.

*****A full manual driving licence is essential*****
