Join Our Team at Downlands Community School

Job Title: Exam Invigilator (Casual Contract)

Grade: Grade 2 SCP 2 - £14.18 per hour

Contract: Casual Contract

Reporting to: Examinations Officer

Start Date: Casual Contract – when required during the Examination period

We are seeking reliable, organised, and professional individuals to join our team of Exam Invigilators on a casual basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for those looking for flexible work in a school environment while supporting students during an important stage of their education.

Purpose of the Role

Working under the direction of the Examinations Officer, you will help ensure that all examinations are conducted in accordance with Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) regulations and school procedures. You will play a vital role in creating and maintaining a calm, supportive environment that gives candidates the best possible opportunity to perform successfully in their examinations.

Downlands Community School and West Sussex County Council are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

All successful candidates will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and other relevant pre-employment checks, including satisfactory references.

Shortlisted applicants will also be subject to an online search. This is not part of the shortlisting process, and candidates will have the opportunity to discuss any concerns identified during the search at interview.
