Full job description

Job brief

We are an established, vibrant beach front fish café who are constantly evolving to meet ever increasing demand. We are looking for a lead chef to work in our incredibly busy and seasonal kitchen for the summer season.

Job Duties:

Take charge of shifts
Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
Assist with ordering
Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently and adhere to all food hygiene & safety standards
Maintain a clean working station whilst adhering to health & safety standards
Assist with the cleaning and organisation of kitchen and equipment
Work with head chef to ensure consistent food standards and well managed team
Opportunity to work with wood fired oven

Requirements

Ability to work in a fast paced service environment
Lead Chef experience
Ambition and passion and knowledge for local produce
Pride in producing delicious, fresh dishes
Team player
Flexible and keen to provide a quality and consistent product
Ability to work some weekends
