Full job description

Responsible to Day Service Manager

Purpose of the job:

Ensure the safe collection and return of clients as required.

Main duties and responsibilities:

Conducting basic maintenance and ensuring the vehicle is roadworthy before each journey

Mapping out Routes

Maintaining vehicle Hygiene

Checking all relevant equipment and completing check lists

Adhering to Road signals and respecting other drivers

Keeping logs and collecting schedules

Safe Operation and use of the passenger lift

Supervising and liaising with the escort

Provide excellent customer care

Making sure the vehicle always has enough fuel

Complete time sheets and make sure they are in by the 16 of the month.

Follow written schedule of collections and drop offs

Make sure minibus is available for regular maintenance

Attending training courses as required and assist in training new drivers and escort staff as directed.

Comply with Health and Safety, fire regulations, and other ETC Sussex policies and procedures.

When escort is not present or needs support:

Assist clients to get on and off the minibus, ensuring seatbelts are fastened, wheelchairs are secured, and bags stowed away in accordance with acceptable safety standards.

Ensure the well being of the clients during the journey to enable them to arrive in safety.

Ensure messages, money and keys between the clients home and the establishment are relayed to the relevant staff member, to enable a daily link to be maintained.

Complete records as required.

Any other duties as required compatible with the post.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £12.95 per hour
