Full job description

Our client is one of Britain’s leading manufacturers of high-quality upholstered furniture. The are currently looking for a Warehouse Operative to join their hardworking and dedicated team in Hastings, East Sussex.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience within a warehouse role, be computer literate, possess good communication skills and have a good eye for detail. You will also be able to work well in a team and have an awareness of Health and Safety in the workplace.

As a Warehouse Operative you will be receiving delivery of goods and storing them, checking for damaged or missing items as well as packaging of goods. You will ensure all relevant documentation is correct and processed using the company software.

The Ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualities:

Demonstrable experience within a warehouse position
Be computer literate
Possess good communication skills
Have a good eye for detail
Be a strong team player

Your duties as a Warehouse Operative would be:

Receiving delivery of goods and storing
Checking for damaged or missing items
Moving stock around the warehouse
Preparing orders for despatch
Ensuring goods are loaded ready for sending
Keeping and maintaining stock records
Data entry
Maintaining the warehouse in a clean and tidy manner

Salary:

£12.71 per hour

Hours:

Monday – Thursday, 7.30am – 4.30pm and Friday, 7.30am – 12pm
Full Time, Temp to Perm
