Full job description

We have a new job opportunities for General Factory Operatives at our state-of-the-art food manufacturing factory, based in Haverfordwest.

We have roles within our production, grading and fork Lift operations.

About the candidate

You do not need previous experience in this kind of work as we will provide you with all the training you need. What’s more important to us is that you have the skills and attitudes to do the job well and that you have pride in doing a good job.

Details of the role - Production Operative/Grading

You will be responsible for:

Grading, packing BDUS and stacking trays;
Operating plant and equipment designed to sort, grade, wash and pack fresh produce;
Operating a pallet truck within the packaging and cold store areas to ensure the efficient and effective movement of produce to meet operational needs;
Ensuring that products are packed, labelled and stored correctly;
Escalating problems with plant, machinery or product quality to a line leader, in a timely and proactive manner;
Keeping your work area clean, tidy and safe.

Details of the role - FLT Herbert

To undertake a range of routine tasks associated with the handling of raw material in pre-production areas.
The job holder will carry out some or all of the following tasks depending upon experience and training
This is a physically demanding role. The job holder maybe required to lift 25kg weights unaided.
Responsible for the flow of raw material from storage areas to the herbert and washline. This would include tasks such as handling potato boxes, de-stacking and stacking boxes at height.
Communicating stock levels with management staff to always maintain satisfactory levels
Responsible for the loading, unloading and rotation of raw material in storage areas
Working with Pre-production Leaders to execute herbert or washing operations in line with daily requirements
Conducting and reporting of accurate weekly and period end stock counts
To support the training new forklift drivers as instructed
Ensure that all checks and pre-production checks are completed and any anomalies reported

Hours

Full time (40 hrs per week)

Opportunity to work overtime

You will work a variable shift pattern including weekends and bank holidays

You should:

· Be a strong team-player

· Have strong communication skills, verbal and written

· Be able to follow instructions

· Have good initiative

· Be willing to be flexible to cover shifts across every day of the week

- Be able to get to and from work for 7am and late in the evening

Pay and Benefits

- £12.71 - £13.09 per hour dependant on role

- Overtime paid at the rate of time and a quarter
