Full job description

Job Title: Baker / Prep Chef – Morning Shift (6am–12pm)

Company: Box & Barber (Newquay)

Job Type: Part-time (minimum 4 days per week)

About the role
We are looking for a reliable Baker / Prep Chef to join our morning team, working the 6am–12pm shift at least 4 days per week. You’ll be responsible for our daily prep, making sure our food is fresh, consistent and ready for service.

Key responsibilities

Produce tray bakes to recipe and standard
Prepare fresh juices
Make salads, sandwiches, and oat & yogurt pots
Carry out general kitchen prep as needed
Receive and organise deliveries, including correct labelling and storage
Keep on top of fridge rotation, date labelling and stock organisation (FIFO)
Maintain a clean and hygienic workstation and follow all food safety procedures

Requirements

Food Hygiene Level 2 (essential)
Previous experience in a cafe, bakery or prep kitchen is preferred
Comfortable with early starts (6am) and working at least 4 days per week
Good attention to detail and consistency
Able to work well within a small, busy team

Hours and pay

Hours: 6am–12pm, minimum 4 days per week
Pay: £13.50 per hour
Location: Box & Barber, Newquay
Start date: ASAP
