Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Gymnastics Coach to join our vibrant team. The successful candidate will be responsible for instructing and motivating participants of all ages and skill levels, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for learning and practising gymnastics. This role offers an excellent opportunity to inspire confidence, develop athletic skills, and promote healthy activity within our community. The Gymnastics Coach will play a key role in fostering a positive sporting atmosphere while adhering to safety standards and programme guidelines.

Duties

Plan and deliver engaging gymnastics coaching sessions tailored to different age groups and ability levels.
Demonstrate proper techniques for various gymnastic movements, ensuring correct form and safety.
Monitor participants during training to prevent injuries and provide immediate assistance if necessary.
Organise specialised training programmes aimed at skill development, competition preparation, or recreational enjoyment.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organised training environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Motivate participants to achieve their personal goals whilst encouraging teamwork and sportsmanship.
Keep accurate records of attendance, progress, and achievements of all participants.
Collaborate with other coaching staff to develop programme content and improve overall coaching standards.
Promote the club’s activities through community outreach programmes, social media, or local events.

Requirements

Proven experience in sports coaching, particularly within gymnastics or similar physical disciplines.
Strong teaching skills with the ability to communicate effectively with individuals of varying ages and abilities.
A recognised coaching qualification or relevant certification in gymnastics is desirable but not essential for entry-level candidates willing to undertake training.
Ability to motivate others, demonstrate patience, and foster a positive learning environment.
Good organisational skills with the capacity to plan sessions efficiently whilst maintaining flexibility for spontaneous needs.
Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism at all times.
Enthusiasm for promoting physical activity and healthy lifestyles within the community.
Qualifications preferred but not compulsory.
