HGV Class 1 (C+E) Driver – Tramping – Burton on Trent

Based at our Burton on Trent Depot
Full-time, Permanent

About the Role

Simon Gibson Transport Ltd is recruiting for a HGV Class 1 (C+E) Driver to join our team on a Monday to Friday tramping position based out of our Burton on Trent depot.

You’ll be part of a leading bulk powder transport company, operating nationally through multiple depots. We’re proud to serve our customers safely and efficiently with our fleet of bulk powder tankers.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out daily vehicle checks before every shift
Load, transport, and deliver products safely and efficiently
Complete all required paperwork and PODs accurately
Communicate with Planners regarding schedules and delays
Ensure compliance with all road transport and tachograph regulations

Pay & Benefits

Gross Average - £1084 P/W Net Average - £848 P/W (Below included)
£25 per night out (tax-free)
£5 daily meal allowance (tax-free)
£9 delivery bonus
Company pension
Training provided – bulk tanker experience preferred, but not essential
Weekly Pay

Requirements

Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence
Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card (required)
Good communication skills and a professional attitude
Willingness to work away from home Monday to Friday

Schedule

Monday to Friday
Tramping position (nights out required)
Weekend Overtime Available
