Role Purpose
The Information Manager is responsible for establishing and managing the processes and systems required to ensure project information is created, structured, shared, and maintained in accordance with ISO 19650 standards.
This includes overseeing the Common Data Environment (CDE), ensuring that information is correctly classified, named, versioned, and progressed through the appropriate workflow states (WIP, Shared, Published, Archive).
The role ensures that information exchanges are delivered at the right time, in the correct format, and aligned with defined project requirements such as the EIR, BEP, and MIDP.
Acting as the central point for information governance, the Information Manager supports project teams in applying consistent standards and processes, while validating that deliverables meet agreed requirements and compliance criteria.
The role focuses on process assurance rather than content ownership, enabling effective coordination between stakeholders and promoting reliable, high-quality information delivery across the project lifecycle.

Accountabilities
- Ensure project compliance with organisational BIM standards and ISO 19650 information management requirements
- Develop and maintain BIM documentation (e.g. BEP, Information Management Plan) to support ISO audit readiness
- Establish and manage Common Data Environment (CDE) processes for structured information exchange
- Lead information management strategy, including MIDP and TIDP coordination across task teams
- Validate and assure information deliverables against project requirements, identifying and resolving non-compliance
- Configure and manage information workflows within the CDE in line with agreed standards and processes
- Support integration and coordination of multidisciplinary information within the Information Model
- Configure and manage digital tools (e.g. Autodesk Forma) to enable efficient information delivery
- Engage with stakeholders and supply chain to ensure capability and alignment with information requirements
- Provide training and guidance to project teams on CDE use and information management processes
- Monitor and report on information delivery performance against milestones and requirements
- Drive continuous improvement in information management processes, including adoption of digital automation and best practice

- Experience implementing and managing Common Data Environments (CDE) on large-scale projects
- Solid understanding of information control, governance, and data quality assurance processes
- Experience working across multidisciplinary engineering environments (e.g. OHL, cabling, substations, civils)
- Proficient in BIM technologies and digital delivery tools
- Experience supporting or contributing to tender submissions and pre-contract information management requirements
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills across project and supply chain teams
The following qualities/experience are desirable:
