Senior Structural Engineer: Fantastic opportunity at this leading, innovative Medium-sized Multi-disciplinary Consultancy. The role is based in Derby.

Overview

Our client is a reputable, award-winning consultancy offering comprehensive services in civil, structural, environmental, and geotechnical engineering nationwide. They are known for their innovative, integrated and versatile approach and bring many decades of experience delivering diverse projects across multiple sectors.

They are now looking for a senior Engineer to play a key role in delivering design solutions of the highest quality within their supportive and talented Derby team.

This is a great opportunity to become part of an expert collaborative and client-oriented culture, where proactive, dynamic and intuitive people, happy to work on their own initiative as well as being team players, are genuinely valued.

Responsibilities

Deliver design work, inspections and construction site support on major infrastructure projects.
Concept and Feasibility studies for multidiscipline design projects.
Analysis and Design using engineering software such as Tekla, IDEA StatiCA and TEDDS as well as producing hand calculations.
Preparation of Calculations, CDM activities, Basis of Design, Material Specifications, Scopes of Work, Technical reports, Inter discipline design coordination and supervision.
Assisting and mentoring team members to promote their technical and professional development.

Requirements

A degree qualified (BEng or MEng), Structural Engineer
Good all-round technical design expertise using British and international standards, and/or Eurocodes
Proven ability in preparation of bids and proposals, and developing good working relationships with clients
Track record in the design of structures in reinforced concrete and steelwork
Knowledge of seismic, dynamic and extreme environmental loading beneficial
Knowledge and use of BIM packages
