Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Mechanic specialising in Engine and Diagnostics to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicle systems, ensuring optimal performance and safety. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical background and a passion for automotive technology to develop their expertise within a professional environment. Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive diagnostics using specialised equipment to identify engine and system faults
Repair and maintain engines, transmissions, and other vehicle components with precision
Interpret technical schematics and mechanical diagrams to facilitate accurate repairs
Utilise hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment effectively during maintenance tasks
Assemble, disassemble, and replace vehicle parts as needed, ensuring proper fit and function
Perform routine maintenance procedures including oil changes, brake repairs, and fluid replacements
Assist with equipment repair and troubleshooting to minimise downtime
Maintain detailed service records and ensure all work complies with safety standards
Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and professionally

Qualifications

Proven experience in automotive repair, particularly engine diagnostics and repairs
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and technical diagrams
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques
Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures and equipment repair methods
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during repair tasks
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Good communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members
Relevant certifications or qualifications in automotive technology are preferred but not essential
