Job Overview
We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porters/Assisants to join our team in a vibrant hospitality environment. The Kitchen Porter plays a crucial role in supporting the kitchen staff by ensuring that the kitchen is clean, organised, and well-equipped for food preparation. This position is ideal for individuals looking to gain experience in the culinary field within a restaurant or hotel setting.

Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, pots, and pans.
Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by chefs or cooks.
Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use.
Help with receiving and storing deliveries of food and supplies.
Support the culinary team by preparing ingredients and maintaining stock levels.
Adhere to health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
Assist in maintaining hygiene standards throughout the kitchen at all times.

Skills

Previous experience in a hospitality or restaurant environment is advantageous but not essential.
A keen interest in culinary arts and food preparation.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
