Full job description

Martin Williams (Hull) Ltd is a long‑established and respected specialist in commercial vehicle bodybuilding, repairs, conversions, and bespoke engineering solutions. With a strong reputation for quality and customer service, we supply a wide range of commercial vehicle parts and components to support our workshop, fleet operators, and trade customers. As demand grows, we are expanding our parts team.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and customer‑focused Parts Sales Person to join our busy parts department. You will be responsible for identifying, sourcing, and supplying commercial vehicle parts to both internal teams and external trade customers. In addition you will use multiple platforms to offer products to the general public.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys problem‑solving, building customer relationships, and working in a fast‑paced automotive environment.

Key Responsibilities

Assist customers with parts enquiries by phone, email, and in person.
Identify correct parts using catalogues, systems, and technical information.
Generate quotations and process orders efficiently and accurately.
Maintain stock levels and support inventory checks.
Manage goods-in and goods-out processes where required.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers.
Promote parts offers and upsell relevant accessories or components.
Work closely with workshop and service teams to ensure timely supply of parts.
Identify opportunities to increase sales output.
Grow online presence.

Skills & Experience

Essential:

Previous experience in parts sales, automotive parts, or a similar customer-facing role.
Strong knowledge of automotive or commercial vehicle components.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Good IT skills and confidence using ordering systems.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.

Desirable:

Experience in the commercial vehicle, HGV, or bodybuild sector.
Knowledge of parts catalogues, EPC systems, or OE/aftermarket suppliers.
Ability to interpret technical information and diagrams.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £29,000.00-£34,000.00 per year
