Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Painter and Decorator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying paint, wallpaper, and other finishes to various surfaces, ensuring high-quality workmanship and attention to detail. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, from residential to commercial properties, contributing to the transformation and enhancement of spaces. The ideal applicant will possess strong communication skills, a good understanding of construction painting techniques, and a valid driving licence for site visits.

Duties

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion
Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other decorative finishes with precision and care
Interpret technical drawings and specifications to meet project requirements
Use a variety of tools and equipment safely and efficiently, including brushes, rollers, spray guns, and scaffolding
Collaborate with clients and team members to discuss project details and ensure customer satisfaction
Maintain a clean and organised work environment throughout each project
Complete projects within specified timeframes while adhering to health and safety regulations

Qualifications

Proven experience in construction painting or decorating is desirable
Strong communication skills in English for effective client interaction and teamwork
Valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate site visits and material transportation
Good understanding of health and safety standards within the construction industry
Ability to work independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision
Organised with excellent attention to detail to ensure high-quality finishes
