Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Breakfast/Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive kitchen experience, and a commitment to delivering exceptional breakfast offerings. This role involves supervising kitchen operations, managing food production, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. The Breakfast/Sous Chef will support the Head Chef in daily kitchen management and contribute to creating a welcoming dining environment for our guests. This job role will be from the end of June when our newly refurbished rooms will be available for guests.

Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of breakfast service, ensuring smooth kitchen operations.
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to maintain high standards of food preparation and presentation.
Prepare and cook a variety of breakfast dishes, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.
Oversee food production processes, maintaining efficiency and adhering to food safety regulations.
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen in compliance with health and safety standards.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
Monitor food quality during service, making adjustments as necessary to meet guest expectations.
Support team management by motivating staff, fostering teamwork, and promoting a positive working environment.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a supervisory role within a busy kitchen environment, ideally with restaurant or hospitality experience.
Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety practices.
Extensive culinary experience specialising in breakfast dishes is highly desirable.
Knowledge of kitchen operations, food production techniques, and restaurant service standards.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and hygiene in accordance with health regulations.
Previous experience in hospitality or serving roles is advantageous but not essential. Pay: £14.00-£16.00 per hour
