Teaching Assistant x 1 (Part Time - KS1 )

Position: Teaching Assistant
Contract: Part Time, Fixed Term until 31st August 2026 (8.30 - 12.30am with a possibility to increase to full time and permanent contract)
Salary: £13.45ph (pro rata, term-time only, Green Book conditions)
Start Date: 01.09.2026
Closing Date for Applications: 26.6.26 at 4pm
Interview Date: 03.07.26

About the Role

We are looking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team at Treleigh CP School, working in a Key Stage 1 class. This role involves supporting all pupils, including those with SEND needs, in collaboration with the class teacher, parents, and wider school community.

Key Responsibilities

Support learning activities across the curriculum.
Assist pupils as part of a team with autism and/or moderate learning/medical needs.
Run daily small group work and learning interventions as and when required.
Carry out general class-based support tasks under the direction of the teacher.
Support the social and emotional development of pupils.

Person Specification

Essential:

Experience of working with children with autism and/or moderate learning/medical difficulties.
Good written and spoken literacy.
Flexible, adaptable, and able to respond to changing needs.
A positive team player with strong interpersonal skills.
High expectations for children's achievement.
Energetic, motivated, and with a good sense of humour.
