Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various sites. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your electrical expertise in a dynamic environment, ensuring safety and efficiency in all electrical operations. The ideal applicant will have a strong background in electrical work, proficiency with hand tools and power tools, and a keen eye for detail.

Duties

Install, inspect, and maintain electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in accordance with safety standards and regulations.
Troubleshoot electrical issues promptly to minimise downtime and ensure operational continuity.
Use hand tools and power tools effectively to perform installations and repairs.
Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or faults.
Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints accurately.
Ensure all work complies with local electrical codes and safety legislation.
Document maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections thoroughly.
Collaborate with other tradespeople or team members to complete projects efficiently.
Assist in upgrading existing electrical infrastructure as required.

Skills

Proven experience as an Electrician with a solid understanding of electrical systems and components.
Proficiency in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers, etc.
Competence with power tools including drills, saws, and testing equipment.
Strong knowledge of electrical codes, safety standards, and best practices.
Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately.
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Relevant qualifications or certifications in electrical installation or maintenance are highly desirable.
