The Business:
The Company specialises in hazardous delivery, pallet networks and general haulage. It operates using its own vehicles to provide transportation services to over 100 customers and specialises in London deliveries.

Role:
We are looking to recruit an experienced transport router/ planner to join our night team. The role requires someone who is organised, has good attention to detail and has experience in the transport industry.
As the night transport router you will be primarily responsible for planning the daily vehicle runs and ensuring maximum vehicle fill, efficient route planning and that all orders are planned as per customer requests.

Responsibilities:
· Immediate notification to sender/colleagues if pallets arrive incorrectly labelled, are sent to the wrong location/depot, wrongly Haz classified etc so costs can be recovered.

· Vehicles are planned to be loaded within safe loading limits by axle and overall weight.

· Routes are optimised for speed, quality and accuracy of delivery vs cost of delivery.

· Ensure vehicle fill rate is maximised and the vehicles are able to leave the yard on time every day.

· Be prepared to roll your sleeves up and get involved in key problems as required.

· Set a good example of hard work and quality, insisting on the highest standards.

Essential Experience

· 1-2 years’ experience as a general haulage router.

· London knowledge and big inner city delivery experience.

· Vehicle weights and loading requirements.

Desirable Experience

· Palletforce Network.

· Hazardous delivery.

. Roadrunner Software.

· Night work - Midnight - 9am

Minimum Qualifications

· Fluent in written and spoken English.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
