Workshop Technician Engineer – Full Time
Location: Burgess Hill, West Sussex
Company: Clearwell Mobility
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Job Type: Permanent | Full-Time | Monday to Friday

Clearwell Mobility is a leading provider of mobility equipment across the South East, committed to helping people maintain their independence and improve their quality of life. We are currently looking for a Workshop Technician Engineer to join our engineering team at our head office in Burgess Hill.

This hands-on role involves assembling, servicing, and refurbishing a wide range of mobility products. Whether you already have technical experience or are looking to develop your skills in a growing industry, we offer full training and a supportive working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Workshop Technician, your main duties will include:

Service and refurbish pre-owned mobility scooters and equipment
Diagnose faults and carry our repairs on customer products
Test batteries, charges and related components for warranty claims
Perform routine maintenance on wheelchairs and walking aids
Support field engineers with the installation of stairlfits and ramps in customers homes when required
Maintain the correct paperwork and update the computer system with repair details
Regularly in contact with suppliers for spare part information
Support retail shop staff with technical enquiries

What We’re Looking For:

We’re looking for a practical, reliable, and detail-oriented individual with a genuine interest in technical or mechanical work.

Essential:

Hands-on, practical approach to problem-solving
Strong attention to detail and a focus on quality and safety
Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively
Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
Basic computer literacy for logging service records
Good communication and teamwork skills

Desirable:

Previous experience in a technical, workshop, or mechanical role
Knowledge of mobility equipment or similar products
A full UK driving licence (preferred but not essential)
