Full job description

Are you passionate about supporting young minds and making a real difference in the classroom? We’re looking for a dedicated, energetic, and caring Higher Level Teaching Assistant with a responsibility for Food Technology to join our fantastic team!

What you’ll be doing:

To work with students, parents, teacher and outside agencies on matters related to student welfare, thereby encouraging positive behaviour and attitudes to student learning.
Ensure the school is adequately resourced to provide effective cover

supervision/arrangements for lessons.

To work under the direction of the Assistant Headteacher, to implement planning and
Complement the professional work of the teachers by taking responsibility for agreed learning activities.

The role will also take responsibility of Food Technology which will include:

Delivering planned lessons in line with the school curriculum for students in Key Stages 2-4.
Ensuring lessons are engaging, informative, and aligned with educational standards and objectives.
Assessing, monitoring, and recording student progress, providing feedback to students and parents
Organising and conduct food-based learning and enrichment activities, ensuring they are inclusive and beneficial for all students.

What we’re looking for:

GCSE or equivalent qualifications, to include English and Maths
Evidence of CPD or an interest in learning.
Effective communication with parents and carers
Excellent inter-personal skills.
Good personal organisation.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
