Summary

'Community Support Worker' position available at Quality Care @ Home in Hereford.

Join our welcoming team in providing essential home-based care services that make a real difference in people's lives. This role is vital to our mission of compassionate, personalized support for our community.
Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality personal care and support to service users in their homes.

You will need a sense of humour and be able to greet our service users with a smile.
You will be required to assist our service users with their hygiene routine so they look and feel their best.
You will need to be able to cook- not to Gordon Ramsay style but being able to poach or boil an egg is an advantage.
You will need to assist with administering medication to ensure wellbeing and safety.
You will need to write logs about your visits and report any concerns or changes.
You will need to encourage our service users to do as much for themselves as they can to maintain or improve their independence.
Support your colleagues and contribute to a positive team environment.
You will need to follow health and safety to keep everyone safe.
Participate in ongoing training. Every day is a school day!

Previous experience in home care, nursing, or similar settings is preferred, but is not essential as full shadowing and training is provided.

You will need to be compassionate and care about our service users as well as our team.
You will need to work independently and as part of a team. There is always someone on hand to help!
Valid driving license and access to your own vehicle is advantageous, Car or moped! Cyclists are also welcome to apply as long as you have a bicycle! However we do not employ walkers.
You will need to be reliable, punctual and motivated. Our service users rely on us to keep them safe in their own home so this is of paramount importance to us.
You must be physically fit enough to do this role. At times you will be required to use moving and handling equipment which takes physical strength. Training is provided for best practice.
You must be available to work every other weekend.

N.B Shift patterns are 7am-2pm, 9am-2pm, 4pm-10pm. If you need some variation to this, please let us know. We can often offer hours to suit.
