CAD Technician / Underfloor Heating Designer

Salary
£29,000 - £31,000 depending on experience and skill level at the point of joining.
Following successful completion of a six-month probation period, salary will be reviewed and is expected to increase to between £33,000 and £38,000 based on performance, contribution and overall impact within the business.

Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit a CAD Technician / Underfloor Heating Designer to join our team.
The Role
The successful applicant will primarily be responsible for producing underfloor heating quotations, CAD layouts and technical support for customers throughout the UK.
The role will also involve assisting with heat loss calculations, air source heat pump projects, MCS compliance, BUS grant applications and general project administration.
This is a varied position suited to someone who enjoys technical design, problem solving, customer interaction and being part of a growing business.
Key Responsibilities
- Producing underfloor heating quotations.
- Creating CAD layouts and installation drawings.
- Reviewing architectural drawings and plans.
- Providing technical support to customers, installers and merchants.
- Producing material schedules and system specifications.
- Assisting with heat loss calculations and system design.
- Supporting air source heat pump projects and MCS documentation.
- Assisting with BUS grant applications and project administration.
- Following up quotations and supporting customers through the sales process.
- Building long-term relationships with customers and trade partners.
Essential Requirements
- Good working knowledge of CAD software.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings.
- Good telephone and communication skills.
- Confidence speaking with customers, installers and suppliers.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Proactive approach to customer service and sales opportunities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Full UK driving licence.
