About this Job

This is an opportunity for you to join our friendly Warehouse Team as a Warehouse Operative, to participate in a range of warehouse activities, but primarily picking, packing and loading orders onto our own fleet of vans.

You'll be working in a fast-paced environment alongside our existing team of Warehouse Operatives and Delivery Drivers.

You will have high levels of accuracy and be very self-motivated as the role requires you to be picking stock by hand for long periods.

You will possess excellent communication skills and take pride in your work and working environment.

You can expect to be picking products ranging from chemicals to beds and wardrobes from our furniture range at our multi-level Warehouse.

The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job including (but not limited to), lifting, using step ladders and operating machinery.

This role is fast paced, you can expect to be on your feet for much of the day, picking stock for deliveries to high levels of accuracy.

Responsibilities and Duties

· Picking of orders using our ride-on picking trucks.

· Packing and loading of orders onto our own delivery vans.

· Assist with maintaining warehouse standards.

Qualifications and Skills

· Positive, hardworking, and enthusiastic attitude.

· Full UK Driving License is not necessary but may be beneficial in future.

· Forklift license is not necessary but may be beneficial in future.

· Good communication skills and excellent levels of customer service.

Hours of Work

· Monday to Friday (No Weekends)

· 8:00 - 18:00 Mon – Thurs, 06:30 – 16:30 Fri (Flexibility will be required. Overtime sometimes required - paid).

· 47.5 hours a week.

· 30 Minute Lunch break (Unpaid). 2 x 15 Minute paid rest breaks.

Holidays

· 30 days (inc. Bank Holidays) Increasing to 33 days following the successful completion of 2 years’ service.

Salary

· £32,700.00 per year
