Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) / Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) to cover locum sessions for an Urgent Treatment Centre. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care, supporting clinical decision-making, and enhancing service delivery. This position offers an excellent opportunity for experienced nursing professionals committed to advancing their clinical skills and making a positive impact on patient outcomes. The role involves working closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive assessments, diagnosis, and treatment plans in a fast-paced environment. These shifts are all booked via a rota which is released up to 8 weeks in advance.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough patient assessments, including history-taking and physical examinations
Conduct Telephone triage calls
Conduct Home visits with a supplied driver
Maintain accurate, detailed documentation of all clinical encounters

Requirements

Proven experience in patient care within a OOH or UTC setting, preferably with advanced practice qualifications
Worked with Adastra / Emis Web (Desirable)
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Ability to work independently whilst maintaining collaborative team relationships
Relevant professional registration (e.g., NMC registration for nurses)
Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with current clinical practices
