Full job description

MMP Limited are looking for someone to join our VAT and book - keeping department on a full-time basis in our Whitstable office.

Who are we?

We are a well-established mid-sized accountancy practice with offices in Whitstable and Broadstairs. We pride ourselves on our high standard of work and strong relationships with clients. We are a friendly and supportive team within a calm and rewarding office environment.

What are we looking for?

· Effective communication skills – ability to speak to a range of clients across a variety of sectors in a succinct, helpful and friendly manner

· Numeracy skills – ability to work efficiently with numbers and think outside the box to solve problems

· Literacy skills – ability to compose emails and letters to clients

· IT skills – ability to navigate a computer efficiently including Microsoft Excel and Word

· Quick to learn – enthusiasm to learn how to use a variety of accounting software packages

What will you do?

You will work in our VAT and book - keeping department at our Whitstable office. The work will involve using a variety of accounting software packages to produce VAT returns for our clients across a range of sectors. You will receive both internal and external training on the software packages as well as hands on guidance and mentoring in VAT and book - keeping.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to £12.71 per hour
