Full job description

We are seeking to recruit a part-time Facilities Assistant (cleaner) to join our team at Amberstone Hospital, Carter's Corner, Hailsham, East Sussex, BN27 4HY.

This is a part-time position totalling 25 hours per week, working 3.5 hours on Monday to Friday evenings and also 7.5 hours on Friday morning.

If you are approachable, flexible, able to work unsupervised and are reliable and if you want to make a positive difference to the experience of people in our care then this could be the perfect role for you.

We are looking for self-motivated individuals who can work equally well on their own or as part of a team, to deliver and achieve high standards of
environmental cleaning and prepare meals for service.

We need people who recognise the importance of a clean environment and food safety as well as the importance of adherence to infection
prevention and control standards at all times.

To protect the health and safety of our staff/workers, patients, and those attending our sites, we encourage our workforce to be fully vaccinated
against COVID-19.

possible.

Duties include but are not limited to: - vacuum cleaning, damp mopping of floors, damp dusting of furniture/fittings, cleaning of mirrors and internal
glass, sanitary ware, e.g. baths, showers, sinks, toilets, washing of tiled surfaces and paintwork, high dusting of walls and ceilings, floor cleaning
etc..

In addition a significant element of the role will require preparation of hot food for the evening meal service for patients in our care.

Full training will be provided for the successful candidate.
