Overview

Join our team as a Kitchen Porter/Kitchen Assistant and become a part of delivering exceptional dining experiences! In this role, you will support the kitchen operations by maintaining cleanliness, assisting with food preparation, and ensuring the kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness and organization of all kitchen areas, including washing dishes, utensils, pots, and pans to uphold hygiene standards.
Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, assembling ingredients, and preparing garnishes under supervision.
Support the kitchen team in receiving deliveries, checking stock levels, and storing ingredients properly to ensure freshness and safety.
Help with waste disposal and recycling processes to keep the kitchen environment clean and environmentally friendly.
Ensure all equipment is used safely and correctly, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
Support serving staff during busy service times by helping to clear tables or replenish supplies as needed.
Follow health and safety regulations diligently to maintain a safe working environment for everyone.

Experience

Previous experience working in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting is preferred but not essential; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key!
Familiarity with food preparation techniques and kitchen safety procedures is advantageous.
Experience in customer service or serving roles can be beneficial for understanding hospitality standards.
Basic knowledge of culinary practices or prior kitchen experience will help you excel in this role.
A proactive attitude with strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and teamwork is essential for success.
