Full job description

We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Assitant Branch Manager to join our thriving team at Connect Plumbing & Heating Supplies. This key position involves supporting the Branch Manager in overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and ensuring exceptional customer service within our busy branch.

Responsibilities:

1. Team Leadership:

Assist in leading and motivating a team of sales and warehouse staff to achieve branch targets and deliver excellent customer service
Provide guidance and support to staff, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.

2. Customer Service:

Ensure a high standard of customer service by addressing customer inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining a customer-centric focus.
Collaborate with the sales team to identify opportunities for growth and customer satisfaction.

3. Inventory Management:

Assist in managing stock levels, overseeing replenishment, and optimizing company stock levels to meet customer demand.
Conduct regular stock checks and coordinate with the purchasing team to ensure adequate stock levels.

4. Sales Performance:

Support the Branch Manager in developing and implementing sales strategies to achieve sales & profit targets.
Monitor and analyse sales performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

5. Operational Efficiency:

Work closely with the Branch manager to ensure smooth day-to-day operations, compliance with company policies, and adherence to health and safety regulations.
Contribute to the implementation of the operational improvements.

Qualifications:

Experience in the Plumbing & Heating industry is essential,
Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team,
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills,
